Fat Chance Airlines calls Twin Valley Airport home — a place where the Blue Ridge is close enough to touch, the staff actually wants you there, and your odds of becoming a pilot are a lot better than the name suggests.

This school is a tribute to Caleb Glick.

Caleb was the kind of man you don’t meet twice. Aviation wasn’t a job for him; it came out of him. He could fix an engine, fly almost anything with wings or a rotor, and still have the patience to stand on the ramp with someone who had never sat in a cockpit. He carried a lifetime of knowledge and handed it over without making you feel small. Kindness. Humor. A love of flying that settled into people and stayed.

We teach the way he taught: from zero to the first time the airplane feels like yours. Students who know nothing. Students who think they know everything. Students who just want to fly something that isn’t a lawn mower. If you can walk in the door, we can teach you to fly out of it — with skill, calm, and a little style.

Around here, learning to fly isn’t a gauntlet. It’s friendly, it’s fun, and the instructors still like teaching. We take the phrase “fat chance” and turn it into “watch this.”

That’s the school. That’s the man we’re flying for.
